Abstract

The tests described in this report were designed to investigate the effect of small mismatches between the ultrasonic gas flow meter bore and surrounding pipe as well as the effect of imperfect flange alignment. In addition, tests were conducted to assess the effect of changes in static pressure on the meter bias error. This work was funded by the Gas Research Institute and was monitored by the GRI Measurement Technical Committee (composed of gas industry representatives) and by the American Gas Association (AGA) Transmission Measurement Committee Task Group 1 (Ultrasonic meters).
